SUMMARY:CAEN Academy Tour India 2026 – 2nd Generation Digitizers and Sci-Compiler Hands-On Training
DESCRIPTION:CAEN India is proud to present the CAEN Academy Tour – India Edition\, a series of hands-on training events dedicated to the latest generation of CAEN digitizers and the Sci-Compiler FPGA development environment. This initiative brings advanced digital signal processing and firmware design closer to the local scientific and engineering community\, offering a unique opportunity to explore modern data acquisition technologies through direct interaction with CAEN hardware and experts. \n\nWHERE \n\n\nMumbai: Saturday April 11thThe Fern Residency\, Chembur \n\n\nDelhi: Monday April 13thInter University Accelerator Center (IUAC) \n\n\nKolkata: Thursday April 16thBose Institute \n\n\nThe program combines technical lectures\, live demonstrations\, and practical laboratory sessions. Participants will be introduced to the architecture and key features of CAEN’s 2nd Generation Digitizers\, including the x2740\, x2745\, x2730\, and x2751 series\, designed for high-performance real-time digital signal processing in nuclear and scientific applications. \nThe training will also provide a comprehensive overview of the Sci-Compiler graphical environment\, showing how custom FPGA firmware can be created without writing HDL code. Using block-diagram design and automated VHDL generation\, attendees will learn how to implement and deploy digital algorithms quickly and efficiently on CAEN hardware platforms. \nDuring the hands-on sessions\, participants will work directly with a CAEN SMART evaluation kit connected to their own PC. They will build\, compile\, upload\, and test real data acquisition firmware\, implementing functions such as oscilloscope operation\, scalers\, charge integration\, and pulse shape discrimination (PSD). The program will also introduce the use of CAEN SciSDK tools in Python and C++ for system configuration\, control\, and data readout. \nThe training includes access to the SMART Kit during the sessions\, example projects\, technical documentation\, and direct support from CAEN specialist. \nDownload Poster or \nRegister to the event

SUMMARY:Symposium on Particle-Gamma Coincidence Techniques in Nuclear Science (SPaGCoNS 2026)
DESCRIPTION:The Symposium on Particle–Gamma Coincidence Techniques in Nuclear Science (SPaGCoNS 2026) will bring together leading researchers\, scientists\, and students to discuss recent advances in particle–gamma coincidence measurements and their wide-ranging applications in nuclear structure\, nuclear reactions\, nuclear astrophysics\, and studies of exotic nuclei. Hosted by the Department of Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad\, this national symposium will also provide a platform to exchange ideas on developing a state-of-the-art particle–gamma coincidence measurement facility within India\, aimed at strengthening and advancing nuclear science research.  \nThe symposium will focus on the following main application areas of particle–gamma coincidence techniques: \n◉ Nuclear Structure \n◉ Nuclear Reaction and Reaction Mechanisms \n◉ Nuclear Astrophysics \n◉ Radioactive ion-beam and Exotic Nuclei \n◉ Other applications and instrumentation
